If you pulled back your shoulder too hard or rotated too far, the top of your arm might pop out of its socket. And in turn you will feel pain and weakness, and have swelling, numbness and bruising in your shoulder.

Rotator cuff tear

The group of muscles and tendons in your shoulder; rotator cuff holds your arm in place and let you lift your arm up overhead. You can damage it by fall or through overuse. This is the shoulder pain causes which also happen as you age.


It happens when the tendons of the rotator cuff get pinched in the bones of the shoulder. The condition cause swelling and pain.

Cartilage tear

Cartilage tear can be one of the shoulder pain causes. You can injure your cartilage by doing the same motion over and over again or if shoulder absorbs a lot of force.
