What makes my arm hurt?

Arm pain generally on the left side, along with the tightening of the chest, nausea and difficulty breathing can be an indication of coronary artery disease or even a heart attack

Arm pain is caused by a wide variety of problems, ranging from joint inflammation and injuries to pinched nerves and shocks. A person with arm pain suffers soreness, itching, numbness or uneasiness in the anatomy of the arm

Arm pain is often a result of an injury, irritation and inflammation of the skin, muscles, bones and joints in the arm. Though everyday activities, such as typing, writing, working with tools, playing sports and lifting heavy objects or excessive workout can cause arm pain and uneasiness

Oftentimes arm pain in the wrist can be an indication of carpal tunnel syndrome. Carpal tunnel syndrome is a common condition that arises by pressure on the median nerve or compression of the median nerve in the forearm.

Carpal tunnel syndrome is the result of abnormal wear and tear of the hands, wrists and fingers which give rise to pain and numbness in the arms, palms and fingers. We often feel the pain in the same arm which we use most often

Tennis elbow

Soreness and stiffness in the elbow joint and forearm with moderate sharp aches and pain in the elbow can be an indication of the of tennis elbow where the tendons get inflamed that are attached to the outer part of the elbow. It’s a common misconception that tennis elbow is among only athletes or tennis players. A similar condition to tennis elbow is the golfer’s elbow, but the pain is felt in and around the elbow  is golfers elbow

Frozen shoulder

Dull, yet a numbing pain in the upper arms and shoulders, accompanied with immobility can lead to a frozen shoulder. A  frozen shoulder is very common among adults and affects 2 percent of the people every year over the age of 40 years and is complained more by women than men. The condition occurs when the bundle of tissues in and surrounding your shoulder joint stiffens

Frozen shoulder developed in three phases and at the freezing stage the pain is worst, you cannot even move your hand an inch and feel numbness in the arm and shoulder

Seldom an arm pain is an indication of a heart disease. The symptoms are however a bit different including excessive sweating, nausea, breathing problems, palpitations, unconsciousness and chest pain. Even a regulating arm pain in your left hand is an indication of heart attack
