Racz Epidural Neurolysis

It is a therapy for chronic back pain and is carried out with an injection or a series of injections. The injection is usually repeated 4 times using the 2 day in house treatment. The injection helps in decreasing pain and in breaking up adhesions.

How is it performed?

It is performed by placing a catheter in the epidural space. This helps in putting a solution of medication or local anesthesia which can provide profound analgesia. It is best to place the epidural catheter as close to the patient’s dermatome as possible.

How long it takes?

Recovery

Patients recover soon after the procedure, only soreness is felt at the site of injection as well is in the lower back for up to two weeks.
