Every Possible Cause Of Joint Pain

Joint pain can be caused by injury affecting any of the ligaments, tendons, or bursae, surrounding the joint. Injury can also affect the cartilage, ligaments, and bones within the joint. Pain is also a trademark of joint inflammation and infection, and extremely rarely it can be a cause of cancer of the joint.

Pain within the joint is a most common cause of shoulder pain, knee pain, and ankle pain. Joint pain is also called as arthralgia. The sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) chlamydia and gonorrhea can also lead to joint pain.

The most common chronic joint pain causes are listed below:

Osteoarthritis, a common type of arthritis or inflammatory condition, happens over time when the cartilage which is the protective cushion in between the bones, wears away. As a result, the joints become painful and stiff. Osteoarthritis develops gradually and usually occurs during middle age.

Rheumatoid arthritis is one of the chronic joint pain causes that cause swelling and pain in the joints. Often the joints become deformed (usually occurs in the fingers and wrists).

Gout is a painful condition where crystals from all over the body collect in the joint, causing severe pain and swelling. This generally occurs in the big toe.

Bursitis is caused by over usage of certain joint. It is usually found in the knee, elbow, shoulder, or hip.

Viral infections, fever or rash may make joint movement painful.

Injuries, such as broken bones or sprains are also joint pain causes.

Tendinitis is an inflammation of the tendons, which are the flexible bands that connect bone and muscle. It is rottenly seen in the elbow, heel, or shoulder and is usually caused by overuse.
